About
The primary focus of East Coast Mariner is to provide varying information in regard to the Seattle Mariners. Opinion, analysis, recent news, and game threads will surely be included. Also, I will attempt to use a general sabermetric based analysis from time to time on this blog. However, I am by no means an expert in this field, and for a deeper analysis I would recommend sites such as USS Mariner, Lookout Landing, and Fangraphs. In addition, noteworthy news and storylines around Major League Baseball will also be a minor part of this blog. My objective is to provide the Mariner fan base the most trustworthy and respectable news and opinions in a timely fashion. I strongly encourage everyone that reads this blog to tell me what kind of job I’m doing, good or bad. My goal is to establish as much interaction as possible with the entire Mariners fan base and I want to know when you do and dont agree with what I have to say. With that said, I hope that everyone can be respectful when expressing their opinion, and in turn, I will do the same. Most importantly, East Coast Mariner is in no way associated with the Seattle Mariners or any of their affiliates. For any other questions, please contact me via email at Svhoopsstar5@aol.com
In regard to myself, my name is Mike Hartman and I am currently a college senior at Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania. I was born, and to this day, still reside in Reading Pennsylvania( a suburb about an hour outside of Philadelphia). I have been a Seattle Mariners fan for as long as I can remember, and this past summer I made my first trip to the city of Seattle and Safeco Field itself. Ultimately, that was probably one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, and could not have had a much better time while I was in Seattle. For many years, I experienced the disadvantage of only being able to see highlights of the Mariners game, or using the Gameday tool on mlb.com. However, this year I finally manned up and purchased MLBTV(and boy was it worth every penny!) As a result, never at any point in my life have I been more of a die-hard Mariners fan than I am now!
So, with that said, LETS GO MARINERS!!
